We are delighted to announce that world-famous author and children’s poet, Michael Rosen will be one of our keynote speakers at our 2022 Annual Conference.
Rosen who is renowned for his book We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, contracted COVID in March 2020 and was put into an induced coma for 40 days. His session will focus on his experience of the rehabilitation he had from occupational therapists and of course…the origin of ‘Sticky McStickstick’!
Other speakers at our Annual Conference include Lead Technology Evangelist (Accessibility) at Microsoft, Hector Minto who will discuss how to adapt to the changing needs of a diverse population using technology. It’s also no coincidence that all four of the Chief Allied Health Professions Officers (CAHPOs) from the UK countries are all currently occupational therapists. They will look at role of occupational therapy in the health and care sectors across the UK.
The Annual Conference, which will be fully virtual, will be on held on 14–15 June 2022. There are over 80 sessions planned for the two-day event, with 70 sessions being led by members, and content will be available for six-months.
Ticket prices remain the same as last year, with tickets for student members, retired members or fellows’ costing £49, full members £99 and £199 for non-members.
