The Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) is encouraging all its members to register to attend the Valuing Social Care, Valuing People Hustings ahead of the Senedd election in May 2021.
The hustings will be an opportunity to influence Dawn Bowden MS, Angela Burns MS and Rhun ap Iorwerth MSon on how social care and social work should look in Wales post-election, and the role of occupational therapists in social care and rehabilitation and helping Wales recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Run by RCOT and the Right to Rehabilitation coalition, this event is open to all members and supporters and will take place online on Wednesday 3rd March 6pm-7.30pm.
RCOT Professional Practice Lead in Wales Dai Davies said:
“RCOT is working hard to ensure our members’ voices are heard during this Welsh election period. This pre-election husting on social care and rehabilitation will give our members in Wales the opportunity to directly question key politicians on their plans should they form the next Welsh Government, and show our health and care leaders the value of occupational therapy.”
Please register for the event and submit any questions by the 26th of February by emailing rhodri@positif.cymru
