This is your opportunity to shape how occupational therapy placements are delivered in the future.
We’re opening a practice-based learning capacity and quality survey and we want to hear from you and understand your experience of OT training to understand the enablers and barriers for those joining our profession.
Every member of our community will have a role to play in practice-based education.
- Have you taken on a student – how did you find the experience?
- If you haven’t taken on a student before, what would make you consider it?
- Do you remember what it was like when you were on an OT placement?
- Do you support learner placements in your workplace?
- Do you have views of the potential for a UK-wide placement assessment document?
Sharing your feedback will improve things for learners and those who support them in practice.
Working with the University of Salford
With the University of Salford, we have composed a survey to capture people’s thoughts and we’ll also be holding a focus groups to provide more in depth insight. The survey is open from now until the end of September 2024.
We'll be holding focus groups in November and you can register your interest by emailing RCOTPlacementSurvey@salford.ac.uk
We all have something to add
We rely on all occupational therapy practitioners and educators for their support in responding to the survey, which helps us to gather in depth knowledge and experiences.
Your involvement will improve OT as a profession and the service we provide.
If you require accessibility support to complete the survey please contact Claire.Ainsworth@rcot.co.uk
