• Specialist Sections NEC vacancies: pinky.sidhpura@rcot.co.uk
RCOT Regions and Specialist Sections have vacancies on their committees with roles varying from Treasurer to Chair to Communications Lead.
As branches of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT), the Regions are dedicated to supporting members locally by providing networking, development, learning and funding opportunities, and the Specialist Sections provide professional direction and leadership for occupational therapists working in specialist areas of practice. Their activities are run by voluntary committees of RCOT members.
Being a committee volunteer means you will share fresh ideas, inspire change and help provide networking, development, learning and funding opportunities.
In return you’ll learn new skills, build your networks and help influence the profession. Volunteering on a committee also counts towards your CPD.
As an RCOT member, you belong to your local Region and can apply for vacancies on their committee. If you are a member of a Specialist Section, you can apply for vacancies on their National Executive Committee (NEC).
You do not need previous experience to apply for a role as current committee members along with RCOT will provide you with support, training and guidance.
RCOT values the diversity of its 34,500 strong membership and aims to have a governance that reflects this. We strongly encourage applications for committee vacancies from all sections of the community, especially those from under-represented groups.
