Throughout 2022, Steve Ford, Chief Executive, and Karin Orman, Assistant Director – Professional Practice, will be hosting a series of discussion events about how we can support you and lead the profession boldly with a stronger voice.
The first event will take place on Wednesday 13 April 2022, 12-1pm on Teams. We’ll discuss leadership and leading the profession boldly and with a stronger voice.
Together, we’ll discuss the role of occupational therapy, our positioning in the UK’s health and care and other systems, and current and future workforce needs.
You’ll be able to tell us about current and emerging themes and discuss how we can support you and future leaders.
The forum is open to senior leaders across the UK who are or have been registered occupational therapists – including if you:
• are a director or commissioner of services
• work in the NHS at Band 8 or above
• are a principal occupational therapist
• head an occupational therapy HEI learner or research programme
• run a company employing other occupational therapists
• have a leadership role within a government department.
