Northern Ireland Assembly Election manifesto

We want people everywhere to value the life-changing power of occupational therapy.

So, in this year’s Northern Ireland Assembly election, we’re calling on all candidates to support the three key asks of our manifesto. These asks place occupational therapy at the centre of health and social care in Northern Ireland.

We’re calling for:

  • Everyone to have earlier and inclusive access to occupational therapy
  • Rehabilitation for everyone who needs it
  • Building and advancing the occupational therapy workforce

Call on your candidates to support our Northern Ireland manifesto

Ahead of the election on Thursday 5 May 2022, you can call on your local candidates to support these key asks too. Here’s how you can do this:

  • Reach out to local MLA candidates in the Northern Ireland Assembly election
  • Send them an email or letter calling on your candidates to support our asks – you can use our sample message.
  • Post on social media calling for your local candidates’ support – you can use our sample posts and image. Make sure you tag your candidates.
