The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Centre for Engagement and Dissemination (CED) is developing a Collection about loneliness in older adults and is seeking the input of an occupational therapist.
NIHR Collections bring together research on a particular theme, accompanied by comments from professionals and/or public contributors.
The NIHR CED is seeking an occupational therapist, who has experience of working with older adults in the community or care homes, to provide a commentary for the loneliness Collection. Experience of working with people with dementia, or of social prescribing, would be advantageous.
The NIHR would contact the occupational therapist to discuss what they would like to say in relation to the Collection/topic. This could, for example, relate to the effects of loneliness, how occupational therapists can work with people to reduce loneliness, or the types of approach/intervention they have found to be most effective.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Helen Saul (Editor in Chief, NIHR Evidence) at the NIHR CED by Monday 9th August 2021. Email: nihralerts@nihr.ac.uk
