Statement of condolence for Her Majesty, The Queen

Steve Ford, Chief Executive of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT), has today paid tribute to Her Majesty, The Queen, following the announcement of her death earlier today. He said:

“I was deeply saddened to hear of the death of Her Majesty, The Queen. On behalf of our members, I have sent my condolences to the Royal Family, and all who have been affected by this news.”

“We are proud that Her Majesty saw fit to grant us permission to use our ‘Royal’ title in April 2017. She did this as a testament to the hard work, dedication, and highest level of professional standards which our members demonstrate day in, day out. We are grateful that she bestowed this honour on RCOT it has helped our profession to influence health and social care policy.”
