Our Digital Library offers members access to a wealth of practice, learning, research and CPD resources.
We’re incredibly pleased to announce that the Digital Library is moving to OpenAthens authentication.
This is a more flexible way for members to access the Library’s online books, journals and databases from wherever you start your search. You may already be familiar with OpenAthens if you have a university or NHS background.
Dive into our catalogue today and explore something new for your research, learning and practice.
Alongside the occupational therapy titles you’d expect, our Digital Library is here for such things as:
- building your leadership skills
- finding resources for CPD
- developing your EDB knowledge.
What’s new?
The exciting thing about RCOT OpenAthens is that, for the first time, if members find something interesting on the web, which the Library subscribes to, you’ll be able to access the resource using your RCOT website login details.
You can also still access our Digital Library by logging into the RCOT website. This authenticates you and may be the simplest way to begin using our resources.
Why are we making the shift?
We’re developing our Digital Library to make it easier for our members to use.
OpenAthens unlocks our Library resources from anywhere but also makes searching and access more versatile.
OpenAthens provides:
- a single sign-on option to access our Digital Library resources on the same browser
- personalisation features including additional accessibility options and personal note-taking
- OpenAthens also promises to be future-proof, ready for wherever the industry might move.
