We’re looking for inspiring leaders to stand for RCOT/BAOT Council

RCOT is looking for a new Chair of Council and three Council members to join the RCOT/BAOT Council. Nominations are now open for professional members to stand for a Council role. 

The RCOT/BAOT Council vacancies are:

  • Chair of Council
  • Council Member, Northern Ireland
  • Council Member, Wales
  • Council Member, Research and Development

Chair of Council

Are you an inspiring and experienced leader looking to shape the profession’s future?

As Chair of RCOT/BAOT Council, you will help implement our new strategy and lead our team in achieving life-changing breakthroughs for members, the people they support and society.

Using your role as a leader and ambassador to elevate the profession, you will be the public face of occupational therapy to government and other local, national and international bodies.

To stand for Chair, you will need to have been an RCOT professional member for at least five years. Your nomination will need the support of two RCOT members.

Council Member – Northern Ireland, Wales, and Research and Development

As a Council member, you will help implement our new strategy and  you will play a key role in helping achieve life-changing breakthroughs for members, the people they support and society.

You will think strategically, make key decisions about RCOT’s work and represent your professional community.

As you start this rewarding journey, you will have a one-day induction and support from your fellow Council members.
These Council Member seats are open to all RCOT professional members. Your nomination will need the support of two RCOT members.
