2024 Annual Conference FAQs
Annual Conference FAQs
What are the dates for the 2024 Annual Conference?
Annual Conference 2024 is being held over two days on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 June 2024.
What if I cannot make the conference dates?
With your ticket you can catch up on any content until Friday 20 December 2024.
Feel free to dip in and use Annual Conference all year round.
Is Annual Conference 2024 an online event?
Yes.
Will Annual Conferences always be run online?
Running Annual Conference online makes it largely accessible to most of our attendees from across the UK and beyond.
Our online platform receives positive reviews and allows members to access CPD opportunities for six months post-conference.
Connecting with other OTs and AHPs through our system’s intuitive AI also ensures you’re more likely to make meaningful and supportive connections.
We'll continue to run Annual Conference as an online event and will have regular reviews to make sure it’s best practice and meets the needs of our members.
There are other opportunities for face-to-face events later in the year. You can see details about them on our Events page.

Content and call for papers FAQs
When can I submit an abstract/content? When is the “Call for Papers”?
Submissions for Annual Conference 2024 content are now closed.
When will I hear if my submission is successful?
We will mark and compile content in February 2024 and let people know if they were presenting in mid-March 2024.
How are content submissions marked?
All submissions received are marked against set criteria, which you can find in the content submissions guidelines.
When received, submissions are anonymised and each one is marked separately and independently by two reviewers. The average score is calculated to give the final score. In the unlikely event that there is a large discrepancy between a set of marks, the submission will be referred for marking by a third reviewer.
Who is reviewing the submissions?
We've got new reviewers alongside a well-established group of reviewers. The majority are British Journal of Occupational Therapy (BJOT) reviewers, from all areas of OT academia and practice. Any third marking is done by a member of RCOT Council. We will add a list of all our reviewers once decisions have been reached.
