What do I need to do to remain part of the OT community?

Direct Debit Payers

You can relax.

If you pay by Direct Debit, and nothing has changed in your circumstance, please log into your portal and check your payment and contact details are up to date. Rest easy knowing we’ll roll your membership over into next year for you, hassle-free.

Annual Payers

You’ll need to act.

If you pay annually by credit/debit card, please log into your portal and pay online by Wednesday 2 October 2024.

Switch to DD payments?

If you’ve ever considered switching from credit card to Direct Debit payments, this is the year to do it!

You can take the opportunity to set up a monthly Direct Debit arrangement if you wish in the 'My Membership' section. Or contact our Membership team via membership@rcot.co.uk to make the switch.

Have things changed?

If your circumstances have changed (for example, a career break, parental leave, retirement, self-employment) you may need to change your membership category.

You can do so by contacting the Membership team at membership@rcot.co.uk or +44 (0)20 3141 4648.

Please note that your membership category cannot be changed retrospectively.

Frequently asked questions

How do I renew my membership?

Monthly Direct Debit payers

If you pay your membership fees by Direct Debit, please log in to your member portal and head to the ‘My Membership’ section to check your contact and bank details are correct. You’ll need to make sure we have your correct details by Friday 4 October 2024.

Your payments, including totals and date of collection, will remain the same (unless your membership category has changed).

Please note that cancelling your Direct Debit does not cancel your membership. If you wish to cancel your membership you should do so in writing via email at membership@rcot.co.uk.

Annual card payers

Log in to your member portal to pay your fees in full by credit or debit card.

Switch to Direct Debit

You can take the opportunity to set up a monthly Direct Debit arrangement if you wish in the 'My Membership' section. Please contact the membership team for further details.

Why are Specialist Sections not mentioned?

We’re reimagining our communities to make them more inclusive and accessible. We’re working with Specialist Sections and regions, to transition them to our new communities’ model so there will be some changes.

If you’re currently a member of a Specialist Section, this will come to an end on Monday 30 September 2024.

When you renew your RCOT membership you won't have to pay the extra Specialist Section subscription fee.

Next year we plan to launch RCOT Communities, a new online community engagement platform for all members that will host our new practice, professional and regional networks. Access to the platform and networks will be included in your RCOT membership.

From Tuesday 1 October 2024, we’ll stop accepting new Specialist Section members so we can focus on developing the networks ready for launch.

How do I change my membership category?

If your circumstances have changed (for example a career break, parental leave, retirement, self-employment) you may want to change your membership category.

You can do so by contacting the membership team at membership@rcot.co.uk or +44 (0)20 3141 4648.

Please note that your membership category cannot be changed retrospectively.

I haven't yet registered an online account. What do I do?

If you haven’t registered an online account, please visit our re-register page and follow the instructions.

You can watch a brief video on how to register for your RCOT online account.

If you’re still having problems with logging in or registering, you can use the Digital team's online form.

How do I resign my membership?

We’re sorry to hear that you're thinking of cancelling your RCOT membership. Please do get in touch with our Membership team to discuss this further and arrange your resignation. You can contact them via membership@rcot.co.uk or +44 (0)20 3141 4648.

What are the terms and conditions of my membership?

By renewing your membership you’re agreeing to our Membership terms and conditions. Please contact us if you have any further questions.
