Occupational Therapy Week
Campaigning for occupational therapy
Occupational Therapy Week (OT Week) is our national awareness-raising campaign dedicated to celebrating the life-changing power of occupational therapy.
We got some great insights and guidance from members in a workshop recently which we’ve used, together with feedback from past campaigns, to shape a slightly different approach to our annual campaign.
Up until now OT Week has been a stand-alone week-long campaign, with a different theme each year.
In future, OT Week will begin 12 months of campaigning and will build understanding year-on-year as we position the OT workforce where they will have maximum impact – as set out in our Workforce Strategy.
OT Week 2024
Last year we created a better understanding of occupations, in the context of occupational therapy, what they are and why they matter.
This year we’re going to build on that.
We’ll do this by creating a better understanding of occupational therapy, its role in health and social care and how the occupational therapy workforce needs to be positioned to have maximum impact in improving people's health and quality of life.
You can find out more about OT Week 2024 at this year’s OT Week page.
When does OT Week take place?
OT Week takes place during the first full week of November.
This year, 2024, it starts on Monday 4 November and finishes on Sunday 10 November.
